METAL INJECTION MOLDING
ABSTRACT
For 18 years, FloMet LLC
has been supplying Metal Injection Molded parts to the medical industry.
These parts have been composed of 316L Duplex Stainless
Steel, 17-4 PH Stainless Steel, and F 75. Customers have
tested the parts for biocompatibility according to the
FDA regulations. At no time has it been reported to
FloMet that a device has failed due to the
biocompatibility of the Metal Injection Molding material. In addition,
FloMet has done some limited biocompatibility testing of
316L and 17-4 PH at an independent laboratory that
confirmed the experience of our customers.
